This article applies to: All Firm Users
When you have completed an engagement, mark it Complete as soon as possible.
Marking an engagement Complete:
- Removes the engagement from both the Firm and Client Users dashboards and list of active engagements, ensuring attention is given to active engagements
- Stops all engagement-related notifications for both the Firm and Client User, eliminating unnecessary emails
- Removes access for General users (most commonly Client Users)
- Moves the engagement into All Engagements, where it is archived along with all documents and comments and can be re-opened, duplicated (rolled forward) or deleted
There are two ways to mark an engagement Complete.
Method 1:
- Navigate to Engagements
- Click --View All Engagements-- to see a list of all engagements
- Select the engagement you would like to mark complete.
- In the Details pane that appears on the right-hand side, click the Mark Complete button
Method 2:
- Navigate to Engagements and select the engagement from your active engagements

Click on Edit Engagement (pencil icon)

Change the status to "Complete" using the drop-down menu.
Pro Tip: In Progress engagements that are substantially complete and haven't had any recent activity, automatically get flagged by the system "To Mark Complete". Please see Identify Engagements Flagged Mark to Complete for more information.
