This article applies to: All Client Users
Client Users can download files in individual requests or across the entire engagement. Once downloaded, files are saved to your computer in the location specified by your browser settings, typically the "Downloads" folder.
Downloading Files in Individual Requests
To download files in specific requests, click the file icon in the paperclip column of the request line to view a list of available files. From here, you can download individual files or download all as a ZIP file.
Another option is to go to the Files and Documents tab within the Details pane. In this section, click on individual filenames to download specific files or select “Download All Files & Documents” to download all files in one ZIP file.
Downloading All Files in an Engagement
To download multiple files in an engagement, select one or multiple requests in the engagement. Then, click the Download Request Data icon at the top of the screen.
Don’t see this icon? You may not have sufficient permissions to perform this action.
When downloading, you have the option to download all files or those you haven’t downloaded previously. Files within the ZIP can be organized in the following ways:
- By Request Title: files are saved in folders that are created for each Title in the engagement
- By Request Reference: files are saved in folders that are created for each Reference in the engagement
- By Request Reference, then Title: files are saved in sub-folders organized for each Title, and grouped by Reference
You also have the option to include request activity and comments in the download. Selecting this option adds an Excel file for each request, detailing all activities, comments, and modifications associated with that request.
Document Versioning
When multiple files with the same name are uploaded to a request because the uploader doesn’t take the time to rename the file, the platform automatically labels versions of the file. All versions are saved and can be accessed by clicking the “+” icon next to the file, where you can view and download previous versions as needed.
