AuditDashboard integrates with Microsoft Office 365 to let users open and view Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and view PDF files directly in their browser - no downloads required.
The system utilizes your firm's existing Microsoft Office 365 subscription, and can leverage Microsoft Copilot for in-depth analysis.
When a user clicks the "Open in O365" menu option, a copy of the file is stored in OneDrive for review. When the user has completed interacting with the file it is automatically moved to the Recycle Bin. As per Microsoft's defaults, OneDrive Recycle Bins are permanently deleted every 90 days.
The Open in Office 365 option is available in the menu option in Engagements, and in the Files portal (Secure File Sharing) when viewing files inside a cabinet or folder.
Once the integration is activated, here's how to preview documents:

FAQs
Will this use my OneDrive storage?
Yes, temporarily. When a file is opened via Microsoft Office 365, a copy is created in your OneDrive under the "AuditDashboard" folder. When you have finished reviewing the file it is automatically moved to your OneDrive Recycle Bin. Per Microsoft defaults, items in the Recycle Bin are permanently deleted after 90 days.
Can you see other files in my OneDrive?
No. AuditDashboard only creates temporary preview files and does not access or retain any other files in your OneDrive. These temporary files are automatically moved to your OneDrive Recycle Bin when you have finished reviewing.
Do Files stay on my OneDrive forever?
No. AuditDashboard creates temporary preview files in your OneDrive, then automatically moves them to the Recycle Bin. Only the files it creates are affected. Microsoft permanently deletes Recycle Bin items after 90 days by default.
Why can't I see Copilot in Office 365?
If you're coming up empty-handed, it might be because your organization hasn’t licensed Copilot through Microsoft Office 365 yet. Once it's been activated by your organization, it should appear in supported apps automatically.
What permissions does this need to access Office 365?
This integration uses Files.ReadWrite, which grants AuditDashboard access to your OneDrive. Our app interacts with a dedicated folder called AuditDashboard. That’s where we upload preview files and clean up content created by our system - nothing more. The permission can also be revoked by your IT team at any time.
