This article applies to: All Firm Users with Administrator or Manager roles
There are several ways to add requests to an engagement:
- Create Requests by Uploading an Excel File
- Modify Existing Requests
- Import Requests from an Existing Engagement
- Adding Individual Requests
Note: To deliver the best possible experience for your team and clients, be sure to review and follow these best practices about formatting requests.
1. Create Requests by Uploading an Excel File
- Click the Upload to Create and/or Modify Requests icon
in the top-right corner of a request list
- Select "Create"
- Download the AuditDashboard Request Template by clicking "request list template here"
- Enter your request details, including the Title, Reference, Client User, Firm User, Due Date and Description. For guidance, please refer to the “READ ME – Best Practices” tab in the Excel
- Upload the Excel file
2. Modify Existing Requests [New!]
Modify existing requests by uploading a request list with unique IDs. To get a request list with unique IDs, download the Request List Activity Report.
Make the desired edits to the Excel file, select Modify and then upload the Excel File to the same engagement.
The following columns can be modified:
- Title
- Reference
- Description
- Firm User (Email)
- Client User (Email)
- Due Date (YYYY/MM/DD or MM/DD/YYYY)
- High Priority (Y or N)
- Do Not Roll Forward (Y or N)
Additional requests can also be created in the engagement by adding lines to the list.
3. Import Requests from an Existing Engagement
In cases where an engagement exists for the same Client Company, requests can be imported from an existing engagement.
Select "Import from an Existing Engagement" and selecting the respective engagement from the "Select Engagement" dropdown. Comments, file uploads, user assignments, and activity history will not be rolled forward, as well as any requests that were marked “Do Not Roll Forward”.
4. Adding Individual Requests
To add a single request to an engagement, click the New Request icon in the top-right corner. This will open the New Request pane, where you can enter details for a new request.
